Drug Operation in Manisa Leads to Four Arrests

Authorities in Manisa, Turkey, have carried out a significant anti-drug operation, leading to multiple arrests and the seizure of substantial quantities of illicit substances. The operation, coordinated by the Alaşehir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and executed by the Alaşehir District Police Directorate and the Alaşehir District Gendarmerie Command, targeted individuals suspected of using and selling drugs.

During simultaneous raids on 21 addresses, law enforcement officers discovered and confiscated a considerable cache of narcotics. The seized items included 656.5 grams of skunk cannabis, 418 synthetic pills, 224 ecstasy tablets, 27.12 grams of methamphetamine, and 12 cannabis plants. The operation aimed to disrupt drug trafficking networks operating within the region.

Following the raids, five suspects identified as R.T. (39), Y.S. (31), S.Y. (41), S.U. (41), and O.K. (30) were taken into custody. After being presented before the court, four of the suspects were formally arrested and remanded into custody pending further investigation. The fifth suspect, O.K., was released under judicial control measures, indicating a less severe role or cooperation with authorities.
