Singer Güllü's Death: New Footage Emerges as Daughter Faces Murder Charges

A new development has surfaced in the investigation into the death of singer Gül Tut, known as Güllü, who fell from a sixth-floor window of her building in Çınarcık on September 26, 2025. The Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office initiated an investigation into the incident. Güllü, 52, was laid to rest in Istanbul after an autopsy.

Suspicion fell on the artist's daughter, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, 28, and her friend Sultan Nur Ulu, 25, who had provided conflicting statements during initial questioning. Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter was subsequently arrested on charges of "intentional killing," while Sultan Nur Ulu was placed under house arrest.

The investigation, which concluded after 11 months, resulted in an indictment naming the daughter as the primary suspect. The indictment seeks aggravated life imprisonment for Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter for "intentional killing of a direct ascendant with planning." It details that Güllü fell from her daughter's room window, hitting the concrete ground from a height of 18.17 meters, and died from skull and spine fractures, internal bleeding from multiple organ and major vessel injuries. Toxicology reports found 3.53 per mille alcohol in Güllü's blood, with no medical evidence of poisoning from medication.

The prosecution claims the daughter instructed her friend to play Güllü's favorite song, "Malkata," to draw her into the room. Güllü reportedly entered the room from the bathroom upon hearing the music, joined in singing, and danced briefly. Prosecutors believe the song was intentionally played as part of a planned act to bring Güllü to the room where the incident occurred.

Furthermore, an analysis of audio recordings from the scene, conducted by Istanbul Technical University, reportedly captured a young woman's voice in a mocking and cheerful tone saying, "See you later" just before the fall. The prosecution concluded this statement was made by Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter. The indictment states that immediately after these words, the suspect grabbed her mother from under the hips with both hands, lifted her feet off the ground, and pushed her out the window. Sultan Nur Ulu's initial statement claimed Güllü was intoxicated and fell, but she later provided a different account of the events.
