Drugs found in Gaza aid as IDF destroys Hamas weapons depots in mosque, arrests West Bank terrorist

Israel's Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) reported that drugs were smuggled into the Gaza Strip hidden within food products intended as humanitarian aid. The World Central Kitchen (WCK) discovered the contraband during the unloading of aid shipments and food preparation at their facilities in Gaza.

According to WCK, six bundles of hashish, weighing approximately 600 grams, along with 160 grams of other illegal substances, were found concealed inside packages of canned peppers. COGAT condemned the smuggling, stating it demonstrates Hamas's willingness to exploit humanitarian aid for its own purposes and vowed to continue working against such abuses.

The incident demonstrates once again that Hamas will stop at nothing to exploit humanitarian aid for its own needs.

This incident follows a COGAT analysis claiming that the volume of aid entering Gaza significantly exceeds humanitarian needs. A senior COGAT official asserted that Hamas remains the primary obstacle to improving conditions in the Strip, alleging the organization interferes with humanitarian activity, exploits civilian infrastructure, and influences distribution mechanisms.

In separate operations, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) announced the destruction of two Hamas weapons depots located inside mosques in northern Gaza. The depots contained dozens of Kalashnikov rifles and other equipment. The IDF also reported the arrest of Hamam Khazem in Jenin, who was allegedly planning an attack inside Israel.
