Drunk 15-year-old crashes car 30 meters down embankment in Austria

Three teenagers were injured in separate car accidents in Kärnten, Austria, on Friday evening. In one incident, a car plunged 30 meters down an embankment after hitting a tree in Ebenthal.

Authorities suspect the 15-year-old driver was intoxicated. Two of the three young occupants, aged 15, 16, and 18, managed to exit the wreckage on their own. Firefighters and mountain rescue services extracted the third teenager. All three were transported to Klagenfurt hospital for assessment.

In a separate incident in Wolfsberg, a 19-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle on a sharp left turn. The car rolled multiple times into an adjacent field. Rescue crews extricated the trapped driver. He and his 18-year-old passenger, also injured, were taken to Wolfsberg hospital after receiving initial treatment at the scene.

The driver in the Wolfsberg accident tested negative for alcohol. Both vehicles sustained total damage, and significant damage was also caused to the surrounding land.
