Drunk, Unlicensed Driver Arrested After Police Smash Window During Busan Chase

A dramatic incident unfolded in Busan, South Korea, where a drunk and unlicensed driver led police on a chase before being apprehended. The sequence of events began when police responded to a report of a vehicle stopped in the middle of a road. Upon arrival, officers attempted to engage with the driver, identified as Mr. A, who initially showed no response. Suddenly, Mr. A accelerated, initiating a police chase. Despite officers' attempts to block the vehicle, including one officer attempting to stop the car by leaning into the passenger side, Mr. A managed to evade them.

The chase continued through traffic, with Mr. A even colliding with a car ahead before becoming stuck in a traffic jam. Even then, the driver refused to exit the vehicle. Faced with a non-compliant suspect, police utilized a specialized tool, a ResQMe rescue tool, to break the driver's window and extract Mr. A. Subsequent sobriety tests revealed a blood alcohol content exceeding the legal limit for license revocation, confirming the driver was not only intoxicated but also operating without a valid license. The incident, captured on police dashcam and shared on YouTube, serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by impaired and unlicensed driving.

Eventually, unable to proceed further in the congested road, Mr. A collided with the car in front and stopped. Police immediately blocked the escape route with a patrol car and again demanded that Mr. A get out of the vehicle, but Mr. A did not comply from inside the car.
