The ADAC Saarland-Pfalz Rally, slated to take place around the municipality of Illingen on August 14-15, has been canceled by its organizers. The decision was made on August 5 by ADAC Saarland e.V., ADAC Pfalz e.V., and ADAC e.V. during a meeting in Munich. According to a statement from ADAC Saarland in Saarbrücken, the cancellation is due to the current challenges posed by scorching sun, tropical temperatures, and dry terrain. Oliver Warken, the board member for motorsport, stated that organizers must handle the current situation responsibly and unfortunately deem the rally unfeasible at this time. While the event has been called off, organizers are keeping the possibility open to reschedule the rally for a later date.
