Dutchman Dumfries Wears the Real Madrid Jersey

Real Madrid has secured the services of Dutch defender Denzel Dumfries, acquiring him from Inter Milan for an estimated fee of 20 million euros (23 million dollars). The Spanish club, which finished second in La Liga last season, announced the signing, with Dumfries committing his future to the club for the next four seasons, until June 30, 2030.

Dumfries brings international experience to the Santiago Bernabéu, having been a key player for the Netherlands in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He participated in all four of the team's matches during the tournament, which was held across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The Dutch side's campaign ended in the Round of 32 after a penalty shootout loss to Morocco, a match in which Dumfries provided two assists.

The transfer marks a significant move for the 28-year-old right-back, who joined Inter Milan in 2021 from PSV Eindhoven. During his tenure with the Italian club, Dumfries made over 100 appearances, contributing to their Serie A title win in the 2021-2022 season and helping them reach the Champions League final in 2023.
