Eagles' Moon Hyun-bin Hits 10th Homer, Wins Kia Seltos Car

Moon Hyun-bin of the Hanwha Eagles has achieved his 10th home run of the season, a powerful two-run blast that directly hit the KIA Tigers' "home run zone." This impressive feat not only adds to his season's statistics but also earns him a brand-new Kia Seltos car, valued at approximately 30 million Korean won.

The pivotal moment occurred during the third inning of the game against the KIA Tigers at Gwangju-KIA Champions Field. With one runner on base and no outs, Moon Hyun-bin stepped up to the plate. Facing KIA's starting pitcher, Shirakawa Keisho, he connected with a 146 km/h fastball right in the strike zone. The ball soared 130 meters, striking the designated "home run zone" located in the outfield grass.

KIA Tigers features a unique promotion where outfield vehicles or structures are designated as "home run zones." Players who hit these targets are awarded the vehicle or prize. Moon Hyun-bin is the second player this season to win a car by hitting the zone, following teammate Kang Baek-ho who achieved the same feat on May 7th against KIA.

With this 10th home run, Moon Hyun-bin has now recorded double-digit home runs for two consecutive seasons, having hit 12 home runs in the 2025 season. This milestone underscores his consistent performance and power at the plate.
