East and Southeast Business Community Welcomes 'Framework Law'

Business leaders from Turkey's Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions have expressed strong approval for the "framework law," officially known as the "Law Proposal for Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration." This legislative initiative, submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, is seen as a vital step towards a democratic and lasting resolution of the Kurdish issue.

The Federation of Industry and Business People of the East and Southeast Anatolia (DOGÜNSİFED), based in Diyarbakır, issued a written statement highlighting the law's potential. They stated, "As the Federation of Industry and Business People of the East and Southeast Anatolia (DOGÜNSİFED), we welcome with great satisfaction the framework law submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey with the aim of achieving a democratic and permanent solution to the Kurdish issue."

The business community stressed the importance of addressing this deep-rooted problem, which has caused immense suffering for decades, within a legal, democratic, and consensus-based framework in parliament. They believe the framework law will enhance democratic standards, foster social reconciliation, and promote the resolution of issues through legal channels.

They expressed hope that the parliamentary deliberations on the law will be completed with broad consensus, ultimately strengthening democracy, consolidating social peace, and contributing to the country's economic development.
