EasyJet to end all flights from key UK airport from January 2027

EasyJet announced it will end all flight operations from Leeds Bradford Airport starting January 5, 2027. This decision marks the conclusion of the airline's service from the UK airport after more than 16 years of operation.

The airline stated that a review of its routes from Leeds Bradford led to the decision not to continue services beyond the specified date. EasyJet currently offers flights from the airport to destinations such as Barcelona, Majorca, Malaga, Paris, Geneva, and Belfast. The company indicated a strategic focus on its most popular routes, while leaving the door open for a potential future return to Leeds Bradford.

Following a review of our routes from Leeds Bradford Airport, we have made the decision to no longer operate flights from the airport after 5 January.

Passengers holding bookings for flights scheduled after January 5, 2027, will be contacted directly by EasyJet. They will be offered the choice between a free transfer to an alternative flight or a full refund. EasyJet began its operations at Leeds Bradford Airport in 2010 with a route to Geneva, later adding services to Belfast in 2021 and Paris in 2024.

The airline's departure comes despite recent significant investments at Leeds Bradford Airport, including a £100 million terminal expansion completed last year. This expansion added more seating, retail space, and new lounges. Other airlines, such as Ryanair and Jet2, will continue to operate from the airport, with Jet2 planning to introduce new routes in the summer of 2027.
