Ecuador is set to begin their 2026 World Cup campaign with the same core group of players that secured their qualification. Coach Sebastián Beccacece has opted for continuity, naming a starting XI that proved successful in the South American qualifiers. The lineup features Hernán Galíndez in goal, a defense of Joel Ordóñez, Willian Pacho, and Piero Hincapié, and a midfield bolstered by Moisés Caicedo and Alan Franco. The attack will be led by Enner Valencia, supported by John Yeboah, Alan Minda, and Gonzalo Plata.

Meanwhile, Ivory Coast's coach Emerse Faé has made a notable omission, leaving Manchester United winger Amad Diallo out of the starting lineup. Their team includes Yahia Fofana in goal, a defense of Ghislain Konan, Emmanuel Agbadou, and Wilfried Singo, with Guéla Doué also in defense. The midfield comprises Bazoumana Touré, Franck Kessié, Seko Fofana, and Yan Diamande, while the forward line features Elye Wahi and Nicolas Pépé.
