Federal Deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro has called for his party, the Liberal Party (PL), to sever all alliances with the Novo party. This strong stance follows recent criticism from Romeu Zema, a presidential hopeful from Novo, regarding the relationship between Flávio Bolsonaro and Daniel Vorcaro, who is implicated in the Banco Master scandal.

In the interview, Zema explained his position: "Would it be possible for me to applaud someone who associates with the biggest bandit banker in Brazil's history? It's difficult to applaud someone who was with, who associated with a person like him. I was indignant, I expressed my indignation, and I am not changing anything. For me, those who walk with criminals deserve to be viewed with caution."

The controversy is linked to alleged conversations where Flávio Bolsonaro sought funds from the banker to finance a film about his father, former President Jair Bolsonaro. Adding another layer to the dispute, Daniel Vorcaro's father, Henrique Moura Vorcaro, donated R$1 million to the Novo party's state chapter in Minas Gerais during the 2022 elections. Zema, however, stated that the party never committed to any quid pro quo for the donation, noting that the banker had given larger sums to other parties.
