Eduardo Bolsonaro Reports Reporter to Police Over Texas Home Visit

Former congressman Eduardo Bolsonaro stated he contacted police and will file a report against a reporter from The Intercept Brasil. The reporter allegedly visited his family's home in Texas on Friday. The Intercept Brasil revealed that Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, a presidential pre-candidate, allegedly pressed former banker Daniel Vorcaro of Banco Master to pay installments for a film about former President Jair Bolsonaro. The Federal Police suspect Vorcaro's funds were used to cover Eduardo Bolsonaro's expenses.

In a social media video titled "Associates of the PCC knocked on my door," Bolsonaro appeared outside his residence, claiming his wife called him nervously. He said a man introduced himself as a reporter and questioned neighbors. "Here in Texas, you know many people have guns in their homes. Normally, the people you receive are people you know. I'm not threatening anyone, I'm saying this is a totally serious situation that is outside the norm," he stated. Bolsonaro did not disclose his address. He added that the situation could be considered invasion of privacy or trespassing in the United States. "They think they can stalk or bring terror to my family. This won't stand," he concluded.

Bolsonaro's wife, Heloísa Bolsonaro, posted on Instagram that their 5-year-old daughter, Georgia, answered the door. She described the man as a white male, tall, wearing a cap, blue shirt, and black bag, who asked in English if she lived there with her family. "I closed the door. The Intercept Brasil stated in a note that a seasoned local journalist was hired for the coverage and that journalistic standards were followed. Eduardo Bolsonaro did not respond to requests for comment.
