Egypt and China strengthen bilateral security and diplomatic ties

Egypt and China have issued a joint statement that ties their bilateral security and diplomatic coordination to a broader call for stability across the Middle East and North Africa.

The declaration demands a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the immediate removal of restrictions blocking humanitarian aid from reaching the besieged enclave. Cairo and Beijing described a lasting ceasefire as essential and called for the Palestinian Authority to return swiftly to governing Gaza, presenting that move as necessary to restore administrative unity and political stability.

The two governments also condemned what they described as dangerous military escalation by Israeli forces across the West Bank and East Jerusalem. They expressed deep concern about the rising pace of settler violence, land confiscation and the expansion of settlements, warning that these actions undermine prospects for peace.

Egypt and China stressed the importance of protecting Palestine’s territorial integrity. Their statement also extended to Sudan, where they called for strict respect for the country’s sovereignty, territorial unity and national institutions. Both governments rejected external interference in Sudan’s internal affairs.
