Egypt, Germany discuss judicial cooperation and legal collaboration

Egyptian Minister of Justice Mahmoud al-Sherif met with German Ambassador to Egypt Jürgen Schulz on Tuesday to discuss judicial cooperation and capacity building. The meeting focused on current collaborative efforts through the German Agency for International Cooperation and the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation, which include training programs, technical assistance, and the exchange of judicial expertise.

The officials also explored the potential for broader bilateral agreements. These discussions covered mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, extradition processes, the transfer of sentenced persons, and cooperation in civil and commercial cases. They also considered expanding technical support programs to align with the Justice Ministry's ongoing development plans.
