Egypt launches 'Alam El Roum' mega-project on North Coast

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has inaugurated the first phase of the "Alam El Roum" project, a significant development on Egypt's North Coast. The venture, a collaboration between Qatari Diar and the Egyptian government, marks a key step in transforming the region into a premier Mediterranean destination.

Madbouly emphasized the government's commitment to fostering comprehensive development in the West North Coast area, leveraging its promising potential to attract both local and foreign investments. He highlighted President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to create integrated development plans and offer incentives to encourage private sector participation in new and existing projects.

With total investments reaching $29.7 billion, the project aims to enhance the region's investment and tourism appeal through integrated development, supporting major projects that attract capital and bolster the North Coast's status.

Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Randa El-Menshawy, noted that the project's scale and the job opportunities it will create are vital additions to the Egyptian economy. She stressed the ministry's support for serious projects to accelerate implementation and achieve the state's urban and tourism goals.
