Egyptian Expat and Two Asian Domestic Workers Arrested in Kuwait Drug Trafficking Case

Kuwaiti anti-narcotics officers have arrested three expatriates in connection with a major drug trafficking operation, seizing over six kilograms of various narcotics from a residence in Salmiya. The suspects, identified as two domestic workers and an unemployed expatriate, have been referred to the Public Prosecution.

The operation began when security forces received a tip about an Asian woman placing suspicious packages in a dirt area. Upon investigation, officers discovered packages containing narcotics and traced the woman to her residence, where further drugs intended for distribution were found. A second woman was also apprehended, and both reportedly confessed to their involvement in drug dealing, implicating an Egyptian man who allegedly directed their activities via phone.

Investigators revealed that the women were allegedly paying bribes to avoid reporting to their sponsors for work, suggesting a level of organization within the trafficking ring. Following permission from the Public Prosecution, a raid on the Egyptian man's apartment uncovered a significant quantity of drugs, and he was arrested. He reportedly confessed to being a full-time drug trafficker.

The seized substances included crystal meth, hashish, and Lyrica. Authorities have registered the case and are pursuing further legal action against all three suspects. The arrests highlight ongoing efforts by Kuwaiti authorities to combat drug trafficking within the country.
