Egyptian ministry: No reapplication for university after coordination results

Egypt's Ministry of Higher Education has addressed widespread misconceptions among high school students regarding the university admission process, particularly concerning the possibility of reapplying after the initial coordination results are released. The ministry firmly stated that students cannot reapply for university placement once the coordination results are announced and the transfer period has concluded.

Officials clarified that a student's university placement becomes final after they receive their definitive placement card and the deadline for "reducing alienation" transfers has passed. Any attempt to seek placement in another college after these stages is not permitted. This clarification aims to prevent confusion and ensure students understand the finality of the admission process.

The ministry is actively working to educate students about the correct procedures for navigating the electronic coordination website. This includes providing comprehensive information on all stages of the admission process to ensure accurate registration of preferences for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. Awareness campaigns, informational guides, and explanatory videos are being disseminated through various media channels.

Furthermore, the ministry stressed that a student's change of residence after obtaining their high school certificate does not affect their geographical distribution for university admissions. Placement is determined by the educational administration through which the student obtained their certificate, not their new place of residence. The ministry urges media outlets to help disseminate these guidelines to ensure students are well-informed.
