Egyptian technical-school graduates can earn up to 15,000 pounds after three years, Madbouly says

Technical-school graduates in Egypt can earn between 14,000 and 15,000 Egyptian pounds after three years of work, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said while opening new industrial projects in the Suez Canal Economic Zone.

Madbouly also said newly graduated engineers earn between 25,000 and 30,000 pounds. He praised Egypt's recent progress in reducing unemployment, attributing the decline to major projects carried out by the state.

During his tour, the prime minister said he spoke with newly graduated young people and listened to factory owners about their demands, problems and plans for expansion. He said the government would work on those issues immediately.

Madbouly attended the opening of nine factories in the economic zone, representing total investments of $85 million. One of the factories specializes in refurbishing old ambulances.

He said the ambulance project follows President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi's directives to redevelop the vehicles and return them to service for up to 15 years.
