Eid-el-Maulud: Tinubu urges Muslims to imbibe Prophet Muhammad’s virtues

President Bola Tinubu has extended felicitations to Muslims across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad. In a statement released Tuesday, the President urged the faithful to not only mark the day but to deeply reflect on and imbibe the exemplary virtues and teachings of the Holy Prophet.

Tinubu highlighted key lessons from the Prophet's life, including devotion, perseverance, tolerance, humility, and selflessness, encouraging Muslims to integrate these principles into their daily conduct. He stressed that the celebration should be a period for introspection and prayer, drawing inspiration from the Prophet's exceptional character.

There are great lessons of devotion, perseverance, tolerance, humility and selflessness that we can all learn from the life of the Prophet.

The President specifically called upon religious leaders to utilize this period to offer prayers for the nation's well-being, particularly addressing the insecurity and other challenges plaguing parts of the country. He also implored them to guide their followers in translating the Prophet's teachings into tangible commitments to national development and unity.
