Eight Redeemer varsity students pass ICAN exams

Redeemer's University is celebrating the success of eight of its accounting students who passed the May 2026 qualifying examinations administered by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). The university announced the achievement on its official Facebook page, noting that the successful candidates represent various undergraduate levels, including 200, 300, and 400 levels.

The students who passed are Daramola Mary (200 Level); Adekanla Ayomide and Ojedele David Olatomiwa (300 Level); and Odeyemi Moyinoluwa Elizabeth, Ijiola Olatomiwa Feyisola, Oyelayo Goodness Oyedamola, Taiwo Tomilola, and Medal Praise Olabisi (all 400 Level).

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Shadrach Olufemi Akindele praised the students' performance, stating that it reinforces Redeemer's University's reputation as a strong institution for professional accounting education. He remarked, "The results further reinforce Redeemer’s University’s standing as a formidable nurturing ground for future chartered accountants in Nigeria."

Dr. Temitope Worimegbe, the Programme Coordinator for the Department of Accounting, attributed the success to the students' dedication and the university's support for professional development. She congratulated the students, emphasizing that they have made the department and the university proud. Worimegbe also expressed gratitude to the university management for their ongoing support of ICAN-related academic initiatives, highlighting the collective commitment to professional excellence.
