Eight warehouse workers killed in deadliest Ukrainian attacks inside Russia for two years

Ukrainian drone strikes on warehouses in Russia have resulted in the deaths of at least eight people, marking the deadliest Ukrainian attacks inside Russia in over two years. Seven fatalities occurred at a Wildberries distribution center in Kotovsk, Tambov region, while an eighth person died at a similar facility in Elektrostal, Moscow region. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the targeted logistics facilities were used to supply sanctioned components for drone production and navigation equipment. He also mentioned that an oil facility and targets in the Sea of Azov were struck. Regional officials reported that 25 people were injured in Tambov, seven critically, and 37 in the Moscow region, eight seriously. Ukraine has acknowledged responsibility for the attacks, describing the Wildberries warehouse as a "huge" facility ablaze. The company confirmed the fire at the Kotovsk site was contained. This escalation follows recent Ukrainian drone activity targeting Russian energy infrastructure, military factories, and shipping.
