Eight-Year-Old Child Dies in Fatal Road Accident in Kyrgyzstan's Issyk-Kul Region

A tragic road accident in Kyrgyzstan's Issyk-Kul region has resulted in the death of an 8-year-old child. The incident occurred on the 100-kilometer mark of the Balykchy, Bokonbaevo, Karakol highway, a route known for its scenic beauty but also potential traffic hazards.

According to the Department of Road Traffic Safety (GUOBDD), the accident involved two vehicles. A Golf, driven by a 60-year-old resident of Bishkek, was traveling from north to south. Upon attempting to merge onto the main road, the Golf collided with a Chevrolet Monza traveling from east to west. The driver of the Chevrolet was identified as a 32-year-old male.

The impact of the collision was severe. The 8-year-old child, identified as Zh.B., tragically died at the scene. Other individuals involved in the accident sustained injuries and were promptly taken to the Ton District Hospital for medical attention.

Authorities have registered the incident at the Ton District Department of Internal Affairs and have launched a preliminary investigation to determine the exact circumstances and contributing factors of the crash. The investigation aims to clarify the sequence of events leading to the fatal collision.
