EKO Acropolis Rally 2026 to Feature Record 58 Crews, New Stages

The EKO Acropolis Rally 2026 is set to make history with a record 58 crews participating, including 12 top-tier Rally1 cars. This event, a staple of the World Rally Championship (WRC), promises an exhilarating experience with a revamped route that blends familiar classic stages with exciting new ones. The rally will unfold over three days, from Thursday, June 25, to Sunday, June 28, with Loutraki serving as its central hub.

The rally's refreshed course will traverse three regions of Greece: Attica, the Peloponnese, and Central Greece. Organizers highlight a unique fusion of tradition and modern rally philosophy. A standout feature is the return of the popular super special stage at The Ellinikon Sports Park, marking the first major sporting event at the new facilities. This 1.8-kilometer asphalt stage, scheduled for June 25, will offer spectators a thrilling spectacle and international visibility through WRC's broadcast coverage.

The competition will feature the "cream of the crop" of rally drivers and major factory teams. Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT is bringing a formidable lineup of five GR Yaris Rally1 cars, including title contender Elfyn Evans, Takamoto Katsuta, Oliver Solberg, and nine-time world champion Sébastien Ogier. Thirteen Greek crews will also compete, adding local interest, particularly in the Rally2 category. The event aims to showcase Greece globally through its extensive television coverage.
