The Salvadoran club Luis Ángel Firpo is set to face Xelajú of Guatemala in a crucial Copa Centroamericana match, with Firpo aiming to clinch a quarterfinal berth. Currently leading Group A with six points, Firpo seeks a victory to guarantee their progression without depending on the outcome of the Costa Rican team Liga Deportiva Alajuelense versus Panama's Plaza Amador match, also scheduled for Wednesday.

For Xelajú, the situation is more precarious. The Guatemalan team, managed by Mexican coach Roberto Hernández, sits with three points and faces a complex scenario.
