El Mbiguá Masters rowers medal at international competition in Argentina

Masters rowers from the El Mbiguá club achieved a significant international success, earning a third-place finish overall at a competition hosted by the Paraná Rowing Club in Argentina. The team proudly represented their country and the Club de la Bahía, showcasing strong performances in the demanding event.

The competition focused on ergometer rowing, simulating the biomechanics of the sport over a distance of 18,500 meters. El Mbiguá's Masters teams demonstrated exceptional skill and endurance, culminating in their commendable bronze medal position in the general classification.

Individual achievements were numerous, with several El Mbiguá athletes securing top spots. Gualberto Cárdenas and Oscar Ruffinelli placed third in the M50 men's category. Rubén Martínez and Luis Rivarola claimed first place in the M60 men's category, with Martínez also winning first place in the X55 mixed category. Rocío Valdez secured first place in the X55 mixed category, and Alberto Soler achieved first place in both the M60 men's category and the X55 mixed category, alongside a third-place finish in M50.

These outstanding results came from a field of 25 teams, totaling 75 athletes from various Argentine localities. El Mbiguá's third-place overall ranking among eight competing Argentine clubs highlights their prowess in this indoor rowing event.
