Electric Škoda Peaq Sets 936-Kilometre Range Record

The seven-seat Škoda Peaq 90 travelled 936 kilometres on a single battery charge, setting a new range record for the all-electric model. The journey began in Mladá Boleslav and headed toward the Netherlands without a recharge.

TÜV SÜD, a certification authority, supervised the record attempt. Jakub Krs, one of the drivers and Škoda Auto’s high-voltage battery strategy manager, said the aim was to show what the technology could achieve at its limits. The team selected a suitable route and adapted its driving style to maximize range.

The production Peaq 90 has an approved WLTP range of up to 647 kilometres across the full range of driving conditions required by law. The 936-kilometre result exceeded that figure by 289 kilometres, or almost 45%.

The vehicle used a 91 kWh traction battery, with 86 kWh of usable capacity, and delivered 210 kW through the rear wheels. It rode on 19-inch wheels with standard low-rolling-resistance tires. Škoda also optimized the Peaq range’s aerodynamics, producing a drag coefficient of 0.249.
