Emergencies Ministry warns of wind, thunderstorms in Bishkek and Chui region

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has alerted residents of Bishkek and the Chui region to an impending deterioration in weather conditions. Thunderstorms are anticipated to occur within the next hour and persist throughout the day in the capital and its adjacent areas.

In addition to the thunderstorms, a strong westerly wind is forecast, with speeds expected to reach between 15 to 20 meters per second. This combination of weather phenomena poses potential risks to public safety and property.

The ministry has provided specific guidance to residents to mitigate these risks. They are advised to remove any lightweight items from their balconies that could be dislodged by the strong winds. Furthermore, individuals are urged to exercise caution when outdoors and, if possible, to refrain from parking their vehicles under trees, which could be susceptible to falling branches during the storm.
