Emir of Ilorin blesses APC candidates, citing governor's achievements

The Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has officially thrown his weight behind the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State. His endorsement, delivered at his palace during a familiarization visit by party leaders and candidates, hinges on the perceived successes of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

The royal father described the governor as a man of virtues and achievements, commending his transformative programs. "Whoever sees good things and chooses not to say it is insincere and mischievous," the Emir stated. "The Governor has performed well. Starting from Governor AbdulRazaq to other candidates of the party, God will grant you all electoral success. May you not be put to shame."

The visit saw thousands of APC leaders and members, including the gubernatorial candidate and Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Salihu Danladi, converge to seek the Emir's blessings. The APC State Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, led the delegation.

Following the visit, Hon. Danladi expressed confidence in democratic principles, assuring that efforts are underway to unite all party stakeholders. "By the grace of God, all of us will be guided and we will jointly support Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to move Kwara and Nigeria forward," he told reporters.
