Emirdağ Court Orders Public Notice in Property Dispute

The Emirdağ Civil Court of First Instance in Turkey has issued a public notice for Emine Demir, a defendant in a lawsuit concerning the dissolution of co-ownership of several properties. The plaintiffs, Mürüvet Aksoy, Nuran Arıcı, Sevilay Altıntaş, and Ahmet Arıcı, are seeking to divide or sell multiple parcels of land located in various villages within the Emirdağ district of Afyonkarahisar province.

Despite thorough searches, the court was unable to ascertain a fixed address for Emine Demir, who resides in Suvermez Village. Consequently, the court has ordered that the lawsuit petition, the preliminary hearing order, and the hearing date be served to Demir through public announcement.

According to the preliminary hearing order dated December 11, 2025, Demir is required to submit her response to the lawsuit within two weeks. This response must include any preliminary objections she may have. If she fails to respond within this timeframe, she will be considered to have denied all the factual allegations presented in the lawsuit petition. Furthermore, Demir must provide all her evidence along with her response, as stipulated by Article 318 of the Code of Civil Procedure.

The court has scheduled the hearing for October 20, 2026, at 9:45 AM. Demir is required to appear in person or be represented by a legal proxy. If she fails to do so, the trial will proceed in her absence, in accordance with Article 139 of the Code of Civil Procedure. The parcels of land in question are located in Topdere, Adayazı, Ekizce, and Ümraniye villages.
