Emoticon Triumphs in 'Paz del Chaco' Race at Asunción Hippodrome

Emoticon, a 5-year-old horse representing the stud Don Rubí, captured the prestigious "Paz del Chaco" special race, the main event of the turf held at the Asunción Hippodrome last Sunday.

Under the skillful guidance of jockey Alberto Villalba, Emoticon completed the 1,200-meter course in an impressive time of 1 minute and 16.04 seconds, securing the victory in the central race of the day at the Jockey Club of Paraguay.

The race day saw several other notable performances. Earlier, Stand By Me, from the La Esperanza stable and ridden by Arnaldo Portillo, won its race with a time of 1 minute and 03.72 seconds over a kilometer. Ninja also contributed to Don Rubí's success with a win over 12 blocks, clocking 1 minute and 16.99 seconds, expertly handled by Javier Portillo.

In the longest race of the day, Lakar of El Legendario triumphed over 1,400 meters in 1 minute and 31.75 seconds, with Arnaldo Portillo in the saddle. Atom secured another win for stud Don Rubí in a 1,200-meter race, finishing in 1 minute and 17.65 seconds under jockey Juan Román. The day concluded with Guapo from stud J.C. winning the final 12-block race in 1 minute and 17.19 seconds, marking its second career start after a debut second-place finish.
