Emulate Prophet Muhammad’s exemplary life, Kano gov urges Muslims at Maulud

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has called on Muslims to embody the exemplary life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad, particularly advocating for peace, justice, compassion, honesty, and tolerance in their daily lives. This message was delivered during a Maulud celebration commemorating the Prophet's birth.

Maulud is an opportunity for Muslims to reflect on the exemplary life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and translate his virtues of peace, justice, compassion, honesty, patience and tolerance into our daily conduct.

Yusuf highlighted the importance of using the occasion for reflection, urging the Muslim faithful to translate the Prophet's virtues into their conduct and promote unity and mutual respect across different communities. He stressed that the Prophet's teachings remain highly relevant for contemporary society.

Parents, religious leaders and community elders have a responsibility to guide our young people by teaching them the values and exemplary conduct of the Prophet.

The governor also emphasized the crucial role of parents, religious leaders, and community elders in guiding younger generations by instilling the values and exemplary conduct of Prophet Muhammad. He prayed for sustained peace, stability, and prosperity in Kano State and Nigeria, encouraging residents to support government initiatives aimed at improving their well-being. Additionally, Yusuf offered prayers for President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, wishing them a successful tenure and a peaceful re-election.
