ENHYPEN reaches No. 1 on Billboard 200 for the first time

ENHYPEN has reached the top of the Billboard 200 for the first time, six years after its debut. The group’s eighth mini-album, “The Sin: BLISS,” entered the chart with 98,000 album units, according to Billboard’s chart preview released on the 30th local time.

The result makes ENHYPEN the sixth K-pop boy group to lead the chart, following BTS, SuperM, Stray Kids, ATEEZ and Tomorrow X Together. The album also ranked first on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, with 92,000 physical and other album sales.

ENHYPEN first entered the Billboard 200 in 2021 with its second mini-album, “Border: Carnival.” It has since placed 10 albums on the chart. Its second studio album, “Romance: Untold,” and seventh mini-album, “The Sin: VANISH,” had each peaked at No. 2. The new release extended the group’s run of seven consecutive top-10 albums dating back to “Manifesto: Day 1.”

Released on the 21st, “The Sin: BLISS” was ENHYPEN’s first album after the group was reorganised as six members. It is the second entry in the “The Sin” series and follows the journey and conclusion of lovers who break a taboo and flee. The album contains 10 tracks, including the title song “Bloody Paradise” and “Too Close.”

In South Korea, the album had sold more than 2.02 million copies by the 27th, according to Hanteo Chart, making it a double-million seller. KATSEYE’s “WILD,” which topped the Billboard 200 the previous week, ranked sixth this week, while Stray Kids’ “DO IT” ranked eighth.
