Entel, Bolivia's national telecommunications company, is actively leveraging artificial intelligence to bolster cybersecurity defenses, recognizing the escalating sophistication of digital threats. At the recent Blockchain 2040 event in Santa Cruz, company representatives shared their vision for a future where AI plays a pivotal role in safeguarding against cyberattacks.

Luis Claudio Balderas, head of special solutions and B2B products at Entel, explained that AI has fundamentally altered the cybersecurity landscape. He noted that malicious actors can now inflict greater damage more rapidly and with fewer resources. In response, Entel is collaborating with public and private entities to develop robust security policies and enhance its service offerings with solutions designed to protect businesses and individual consumers alike.
