Eom Ji-sung records a goal and assist in consecutive games as Swansea surge among Championship leaders

Eom Ji-sung delivered another goal and assist as Swansea City beat Watford 2-0 at Swansea.com Stadium on September 2 local time.

The South Korean forward opened the scoring in the eighth minute. He sprinted into the box from the opposite side and redirected Adam Idah’s cross past the goalkeeper. Eom then turned provider in the 29th minute, sending a sharp through ball from near the halfway line to Idah, who finished with a right-footed shot from around the penalty arc.

The performance followed an identical return in Swansea’s previous match, a 3-0 away win over Derby County. Eom has now recorded a goal and an assist in two consecutive games, helping Swansea start the Championship season with three wins and one draw. He also completed his first full match of the season.

Eom has been selected as a wild card for South Korea’s 2026 Asian Games men’s football team, coached by Lee Min-sung. South Korea will open its group-stage campaign against Qatar on September 15.
