EPL: Guimaraes can take Arsenal to next level — Arteta

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed his delight with the acquisition of new signing Bruno Guimaraes, stating that the Brazilian midfielder is expected to help the club reach the "next level." Guimaraes, who completed his £75 million move from Newcastle United, was officially presented to fans at Emirates Stadium before a friendly against Borussia Dortmund.

The manager also detailed Guimaraes' on-pitch contributions, emphasizing his versatility in both defense and attack. Arteta noted the midfielder's ability to win the ball back quickly, progress play, create chances for teammates, and pose a goal threat with his timing and positioning in the box.

With Guimaraes' arrival, Arteta now has more midfield options, including Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard. The club has also been active in the transfer market, signing Christos Tzolis and goalkeeper Illan Meslier, and remains open to further additions if the right player becomes available. Arteta also provided an update on injuries, noting that Jurrien Timber and William Saliba are still recovering.
