Erdoğan, Tokayev discuss bilateral ties and regional issues

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan recently engaged in a phone conversation to review the robust relationship between their nations and discuss pressing regional matters. The call, confirmed by Türkiye’s Communications Directorate, underscored the ongoing strategic partnership between Ankara and Nur-Sultan.

During the discussion, President Erdoğan extended his congratulations to President Tokayev following the Kurultai elections held on August 23. He specifically highlighted the significant voter turnout, interpreting it as a clear indication of public confidence in and support for the ongoing reform process within Kazakhstan.
