Estonia's U16 boys make basketball history with B division bronze and promotion

Estonia's U16 boys' basketball team made history by clinching the bronze medal in the B division, earning a coveted spot in the A division for the upcoming year. This remarkable achievement means that for the first time, two Estonian youth national teams will simultaneously compete in the top tier of European basketball, as the U18 squad also secured their place in the A division.

The bronze medal match against Bosnia was a hard-fought contest. Estonia trailed by two points after the first quarter but managed to take a slim one-point lead by halftime, 41-40. The third quarter saw Estonia pull away decisively, outscoring their opponents 25-13. They continued their strong performance in the final quarter to secure a comfortable victory and the bronze medals.

Martin Teppo was the star of the game, delivering a dominant performance with 24 points, 17 rebounds (including 8 offensive boards), and 4 steals. Bert Martin also contributed significantly with 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists.
