Etoro Bassey, Ogunjobi, Michael, Abua in 47th CBN Senior Tennis Final Today

The stage is set for the grand finale of the 47th Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Open Senior Tennis Championship, held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja. The tournament has seen intense competition, culminating in exciting finals for both men's and women's singles.

In the men's singles, defending champion Michael Emmanuel, seeded third, will face Nigeria's current number one player and tournament top seed, Abua Cannice. Emmanuel secured his spot in the final for the second consecutive year by defeating Jimoh Joseph in a hard-fought semi-final match. Cannice, aiming for his first CBN Senior Tennis trophy, advanced by beating seed eight, Yusuf Abubakar, in straight sets.

The women's singles final will feature seed five, Bassey Etoro, against seed six, Ogunjobi Success. Etoro reached the final after a 2-1 victory over Emmanuel-Essien Bright, while Ogunjobi upset the top seed, Mohammed Khadijat, also in three sets.
