EU Approves Sanctions Against Israeli West Bank Settlers Amid Violence Surge

Foreign ministers of the EU have reached an agreement to implement sanctions targeting specific settlers and organizations implicated in these acts. French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot echoed this sentiment, stating that the EU is sanctioning key Israeli organizations supporting the "extremist and violent colonization of the West Bank" and their leaders. He also noted that the EU agreed on new sanctions against "main leaders" of Hamas, a group he described as a "terrorist movement." These developments underscore the EU's stance against actions that destabilize the region and violate international norms. Israel's Foreign Minister, Gideon Saar, has firmly rejected the decision, calling it arbitrary and political, lacking any factual basis.
