EU: Obilić clinic issue resolved through dialogue

The European Union has confirmed that the issue concerning the temporary closure of a clinic in Obilić has been resolved through dialogue and coordination with the Kosovo government. A spokesperson for the EU stated that such matters are addressed within the framework of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.

"We expect Kosovo's institutions and political representatives to fully respect their obligations towards the European Union and to resolve all issues related to health and education services supported by Serbia through the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, mediated by the European Union, and in consultation with the community of Kosovo Serbs, in accordance with the March 14 Agreement and other agreements reached within the dialogue," the EU spokesperson said in a written response.

The situation arose after Kosovo's police entered the clinic, located in a residential building housing several Serbian families. The intervention followed a notification from the Pristina Health Inspectorate that the clinic was operating within the Serbian system. The EU's statement underscores the importance of resolving such inter-ethnic and cross-border issues through established diplomatic channels.
