Everton Snatch Dramatic Late Draw Against Manchester United

Manchester United thought they had secured three points, but Everton produced a stunning equaliser five minutes into stoppage time. Debutant Ainsley Maitland-Niles struck from 25 metres to make it 2-2.

The goal completed a dramatic late turnaround. Substitute Benjamin Sesko had put United 2-1 ahead late in the second half, heading in Luke Shaw’s cross. Everton had levelled shortly before through Bryan Mbeumo, whose goal came after a solo run from the right, a burst through the defence and a controlled finish into the far corner.
