Ex-Finance Official Rodríguez Presents New Negative Drug Tests Amid Replacement Search

Former Chilean Undersecretary of Finance Juan Pablo Rodríguez is fighting to clear his name after a government drug test led to his abrupt resignation. He presented new private toxicology reports on Tuesday, including hair sample tests from Clínica Indisa and Fastest labs, which both returned negative results.

Rodríguez claims these new findings prove his long-held assertion that he does not use drugs. He has been on a mission to vindicate his reputation since his departure from the executive branch. The latest tests add to an earlier negative hair test conducted by the Universidad Católica.

I just received two new hair tests (...) that show what I have always said is true: I do not use drugs. My goal has always been to vindicate my name, my reputation, my honor, and today the evidence is very conclusive that I have always told the truth.

His efforts to challenge the initial results from Corthorn Health have been persistent. Rodríguez had previously demanded a DNA test on the original hair sample to rule out tampering or sampling errors. He stated he is "very calm" and confident that the evidence now strongly supports his truthfulness.
