Ex-lawmaker denies rumors of psychiatric certificate for Kamchybek Tashiev

Former lawmaker Jyldyzkan Zholdosheva has refuted circulating social media rumors claiming that former head of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), Kamchybek Tashiev, possesses a psychiatric certificate.

"Kamchybek Tashiev did not have and could not have such a certificate," Zholdosheva stated. She explained that during Tashiev's detention, a group of specialists, including doctors, conducted a standard psychological assessment and asked questions about his mental state. According to the former deputy, Tashiev merely answered the specialists' questions, but this procedure was later distorted by some individuals.

Zholdosheva also voiced bewilderment regarding the current disagreements between President Sadyr Japarov and Kamchybek Tashiev. She indicated no intention of siding with either politician in the ongoing situation. The former lawmaker suggested that the conflict might stem from the actions of individuals within the politicians' circles, though she stressed she lacks reliable information on the conflict's causes.

The statement from Zholdosheva comes amid ongoing discussions in social media and news outlets concerning the relationship between President Japarov and former GKNB chairman Tashiev.
