Witnesses, including drug dealers and users from the area, have stated that Cinturrino sought to control the drug trade and extorted Mansouri for daily payments of "200 euros and 5 grams of cocaine." Mansouri's resistance reportedly led to the fatal confrontation. A staged scene involving a fake pistol placed near the body was allegedly created afterward. Cinturrino, who has been in custody since February 23, denies the voluntary homicide charges.
