Ex-Rytas guard Cole's 30-point show ends EuroLeague club's title run

R.J. Cole delivered a standout performance, scoring 30 points to lead Virtus Bologna to an 86-83 victory and end their opponent's EuroLeague title aspirations. With the score tied at 83-83 in the final minute, Cole sank a crucial three-pointer, followed by decisive free throws, to seal the win.

Cole, who previously played for Rytas from 2023 to 2025, was instrumental throughout the game. In his 33 minutes on the court, he also contributed 5 rebounds and 5 assists, achieving a game-high player index rating of 31. His scoring prowess this season in the Italian league averages 16.6 points per game.

For the losing team, Saliou Niang scored 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds, while Carsen Edwards and Matthew Morgan each added 17 points. Despite their efforts, they could not overcome Cole's dominant display.

Virtus Bologna is now set to compete against fellow Italian club Emporio Armani Milan in the EuroLeague final.
