Expelled KMT official protests, invokes Chen Shui-bian's daughter

Ding Yu, formerly the deputy director of the Kuomintang's youth department, protested her expulsion from the party at the KMT's headquarters during a Central Standing Committee meeting. She demanded the removal of party chairwoman Cheng Li-wen but was blocked by security personnel.

Ding Yu stated she received news of her expulsion on her mother's birthday and initially thought friends were congratulating her on the occasion. She later realized they were celebrating her "escape from the sea of suffering" of the "fake KMT" and wishing her success in protecting Taiwan. Ding Yu declared she would not appeal, asserting that the "true KMT" would not tolerate humiliation from the "fake KMT."

She drew a parallel between her own struggle and that of dentist Szu-yu Chen, whom she described as fighting against "evil forces" in the south, while Ding Yu fights them in the north. Ding Yu specifically mentioned Zhao Jian-ming for alleged insider trading and Cheng Li-wen as a "fake chairwoman," vowing to unite to make Taiwan cleaner by November 28. She argued that blue-green political rivalry harms Taiwan, while cooperation and harmony would benefit the country.

Ding Yu thanked former KMT leaders like Eric Chu, Sean Lien, and Huang Chien-ting, but noted that some had distanced themselves from her. She stated that while they defend the Republic of China in their own way, she defends democracy and freedom through the "orthodox KMT" way. She accused the KMT of becoming the Chinese Communist Party's Taiwan branch, losing its ability to listen to public opinion, and claimed the security guards blocking her were also blocking mainstream Taiwanese public will.
