Singer Syiqin Azln, 28, characterizes her music as deeply melancholic, a direct reflection of her personality. Over the past four years as an independent artist, she has explored diverse genres, including R&B, Folk, Pop, and Jazz, often translating her introspective thoughts into song.

Initially singing in English with tracks like "Cruel" and "Safe House," inspired by artists such as Billie Eilish, Syiqin later shifted to Malay with "Pelangi Kembali." This song earned her a spot in the semi-finals of the Anugerah Lagu Indie (ALI) 2022, solidifying her presence in the independent music scene. Despite experimenting with different musical styles and collaborators, her work consistently revolves around themes of sadness, loss, and letting go.

She shared that songs like "Secukupnya" explore the desire to hold onto people, a phase that proved exhausting. She believes the right people will accept her as she is, a realization stemming from deep life reflection.

Her recent track, "Hi Hi Bye Bye," marked a departure with its Jazz influences and a more cheerful mood, a contrast to her previous somber work. Syiqin collaborated with producer Iman on this song, finding their shared self-doubt and humorous dynamic conducive to creating a classic, jazzy sound. The song, developed during a jamming session, was completed a year prior but only recently released after securing funding for its music video.
