Explosion at beverage factory in Kırklareli kills two workers

Two workers have died following an explosion at a beverage factory located in the Organized Industrial Zone of Kırklareli, Turkey. The incident occurred while welding work was being conducted on a condenser boiler in the factory's yard.

Emergency services, including AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Authority), UMKE (National Medical Rescue Team), health personnel, firefighters, and police, were immediately dispatched to the scene. Initial assessments by the teams confirmed the death of one worker at the site of the explosion.

A second worker, who sustained severe injuries, was rushed to Kırklareli Training and Research Hospital. Despite all efforts by the medical staff, the injured worker succumbed to their wounds and passed away. The Kırklareli Governor, Uğur Turan, visited the factory to receive a briefing from officials and conduct an on-site inspection.

Technical investigations are underway to ascertain the exact cause of the explosion. The Cumhuriyet Public Prosecutor's Office has launched a formal investigation into the incident.
