Facundo Arana brings an interactive show to Paraguay: “The game is played across the entire audience”

Facundo Arana is returning to Paraguay with a show that does not stay on the stage. On Tuesday, September 15, the Argentine actor will present “Our Lives” at Asunción’s Teatro Latino as part of the project “On the Way.”

The production combines theater with conversation, and Arana says the audience will determine much of what happens. Every performance follows certain guiding points, or “buoys,” but each night develops differently according to the public’s response.

Arana said he enjoys this kind of challenge. When the idea was first presented, it sparked curiosity and then “a little vertigo.” After performing it, he realized that events unfolded naturally and that he was working in territory he already knew. He said the show can make someone laugh loudly, feel moved, or decide to get up despite having struggled to do so that day.

The actor, known for series including “Wild Angel,” “Farsantes,” “Chiquititas” and “Padre Coraje,” said he expects the encounter with Paraguayan audiences to bring its own surprise. “I am very happy because standing onstage also means being part of the audience,” he said. “The ball does not run only on the stage. The game is played across the entire audience.”
